Prospect Hill
Prospect Hill, one of the seven hills of Shimla, has an elevation of 2155 m above sea level and offers panoramic views to the visitors. Prospect hill is crowned by a temple dedicated to Goddess Kamna Devi. The presiding deity of this temple is Goddess Kali - a form of Goddess Durga. Kamana or wish is synonymous with this temple as locals believe that all their prayers are fulfilled here. Built by the Rana of Junga, this temple is visited by countless devotees every year.
Prospect Hill is graced with lush green forests that feature assorted flora mainly deodar, oats, pines and rhododendrons. The view of Tara Devi and southern Shimla from the hill is mesmerising.
