There is the belief that Lord Pakhangba is the presiding deity of Kangla.There are about 360 important temples in Kangla. There is also holy tank which is believed  to the be the  abode of  Lord Pakhangba .There are also sacred pools like "Chingkhei Nungjeng", "Manung Nungjeng" and "Lai Pukhri."
