Malmalpur and Shitalpur Caves

 

 Malmalpur, an extra ordinary cave, is at Palkot, which is 25 km from Gumla and is on the National Highway 23.

 

A unique feature of this cave is that even in hot summers, it is so chilled that one cannot enter it without a blanket. Apart from this, there is a beautiful drinking source inside the cave. A legend is associated with this cave that in ancient times, Sugriva took shelter here in fear of his brother, Bali.

 

Nearby is Shitalpur Cave, which takes after the characteristics of Malmalpur Cave.
