The Deepa Prakasha Temple






One of the earliest inscriptions found in the temple dates to 1223 AD


This deity was called Tiruttangavilakkoil Perumal


The vimanam above the main sanctum is called Srikara Vimanam


The sacred tank is called Sarasvati Theertham.



            One of the inscriptions found in the temple records the gift of a village for repairs to this temple while a Sanskrit inscription states that a Vaishnava preceptor named Alagiyamanavala Jiyar built certain prakaras and mandapas in this temple.
