Kunti Betta

  • Kundi Betta (950 m) is a popular destination for hikers.

  • The hill is close to Pandavapura, a historical town where the French troops serving Tipu Sultan had a makeshift camp during the Fourth Mysore War (1798-1799).

  • The town got its name from the Pandavas who are said to have ended their 14-year exile here.

  • The frence called the town ‘French Rocks’, possibly inspired by the hills in the area, like Kunti Betta.
