Timmersain Mahadev cave
Timmersain Mahadev is a cave of Lord Shiva which is situated in Niti village of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The cave is famous as the replica of the Amarnath shrine of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a magical cave with a natural Shivling of snow.
In the winter season, a natural Shivlinga is formed in this spiritual cave of Timmersain Mahadev in Niti village of Chamoli. This village is situated on the Indo-China border in the lap of snow capped Garhwal Himalayas. Special permission is required to visit this place. The Shivaling looks almost like the Shivalinga of the Amarnath cave of Jammu. This cave is a very sacred place in the Niti Joshimath region of Chamoli Garhwal.
