Arasur hill of the Aravalli range are located in Banaskanth District of Gujarat. The famous ancient Ambaji temple a major Shakti Peeth dedicated to Mother Goddess is located on this hill. It is believed that the heart of the Goddess fell at this place. This hill temple does not contain any idol. It has only   a yantra engraved in a niche. Millions of devotees visit the Ambaji temple every year especially on Purnima days. Locals also believe that the tonsorial ceremony of Lord Krishna took place at this site.
